Crossroads is an authentic Irish pub and restaurant on Beacon Street in Boston's Back Bay. Beacon Street was known as the "Rope Walk" during the 1700-1800's, when Boston was a thriving seaport and shipbuilding city. The shipbuilders used the long street to make rope by stretching sections of hemp along the walk and then braiding it. Immediately following Prohibition, the Kennedy family operated a bar known as "Kennedy's" at the present location. In the mid 1950's the bar was taken over by the Goodfellow family, who changed the name to the "Esplanade Cafe" and then to "The Zebra Lounge," where large booths with zebra stripes were a trademark. In the early 1960's, the DeCandio family purchased the property and renamed it "Crossroads," which became renowned for its pizza.

Crossroads – also known as Brodigan's by some – is a favorite Irish pub and restaurant among locals and Fenway fans alike.
